Medico-Legal Reports

Home  /  Medico-Legal Reports

At Absolute Footcare we are able to accept referrals for medico-legal work from solicitors or referral agencies. Our team of podiatrists and solicitors can devise medico-legal podiatry reports concerning personal injury and clinical negligence matters relating to the foot, ankle and lower limb biomechanical conditions and injuries.

All of our podiatrists are registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the College of Podiatry (COP).

Podiatric medico-legal reports can advise regarding:

  • Treatment costings
  • Podiatric treatment recommendation requirements
  • Functional ability (past, present and future)

How much does a report cost?

At Absolute Footcare there is an hourly rate at which we charged for medico-legal reports. Once our team receive a medico-legal enquiry, a detailed quotation of costing will be provided. Costings taken into account include the podiatry assessment, the time taken to prepare and write the report, and any travel charges.

Any further reports, meetings or court attendances are also available at request and charged at an hourly rate.

How long will the medico-legal podiatry report take?

The total turnaround from instruction to report is around 3 weeks. The assessment will be booked in two weeks following instruction, and the report completed one week following the assessment.

We provide reports for personal injury and clinical negligence matters relating to the foot, ankle and lower limb biomechanical conditions and injuries.

Instructions can be received from both claimant and Defendant Lawyers/Solicitors and also as a single joint expert.
